Letter From The Editor This time of year things begin to wind down for us in the garden. We can sit back and enjoy the cool days of fall as the days get shorter. Our garden is ablaze with golden hued solidago and rust colored sedum. The ornamental grasses are blooming and the mums and pumpkins are on the front porch. We're ready for fall! Hope you enjoy this issue! :) Julia
Article: Quick Trips and Fun Places Alfred and I have been able to do some traveling lately to some new spots that are within a days drive of Nashville. Our first stop located in Cartersville, Georgia, is awesome for both adults and children. Tellus Museum, between Nashville and Atlanta, has a planetarium, wonderful rock collection, and hands on activities for kids. It's worth the 1 1/2 hour drive to see it. Visit their website for more information http://www.weinmanmuseum.org/ I have also recently visited the Carnton Plantation located in Franklin, Tn. If you haven't been, be sure and take time to visit, especially if you are a Civil War enthusiast. At Carnton, I especially enjoyed visiting the gardens for a glimpse of a historical garden.
