Our Garden

Welcome to our garden!

We have been working on it for about 16 years.

When we bought the property in 1993, it was nothing but a cow farm with some trees and underbrush. We saw that it had great potential though.

Here you can see some pictures of what it has evolved into today.

Here are some tips to consider if you are buying property to garden on.

Tip for buying property if you like to garden

We dug a hole on the property that we were considering to see if it had good soil.

We know that being bottom land made it a great place for a garden.

This perennial bed was one of the first gardens we established in our new yard. We had brought several of our favorites from our previous home.

Here you see one of my favorite perennials called Dianthus, or pinks.

Below is our raised herb bed planted with spring tulips.

Adding a fringe tree to your garden like we did is a beautiful addition to any yard.

It always gets a lot of comments whenever it's in bloom.

Bluebells in spring are one of our favorites!
